The Liveness Check Validation feature is designed to enhance the security and authenticity of the digital signing process by verifying the identity of the signatory in real time.
This feature ensures that the person attempting to sign the document is the same individual whose facial image was captured earlier during the Liveness Check process. The comparison is done by matching the live image captured at the time of signing with a reference photo that must be provided by the source system via API.
It is important to note that this feature works only when the source system sends the reference photo through the API. Without the reference photo, the liveness validation cannot be performed.
By adding this extra layer of identity verification, the feature helps prevent impersonation or unauthorized signing, ensuring that only the intended individual can complete the signing process.
Once the Signatory is doing the Liveness check, if the photo captured during the liveness check is not matching with the Photo uploaded through the API, the liveness check will fail and the signatory will not be allowed to move forward.
The completion certificate will have the image of the signatory captured embedded in it (taken from the video recorded).
