In Person Signing

What is "In Person Signing" and how to use it?

In-person signing can be best put to use at the point of onboarding. With this feature, the entire signing Template can be executed on a single window without the need to send the document to be signed in another working environment. Here the document initiator and the second party, both can sign on the same device. This feature is apt for Digital Banking Units (DBUs) to quickly onboard new customers with an end-to-end digital interface, that allows the customers to sign documents on the go.

Step 1: Click on “Create an Envelope” from the left side panel.

Step 2: You will be navigated to the screen where you can upload one or more documents for signing.

Once the document is uploaded, the status of the document is shown as uploaded along with the other details like the name and size of the document. Envelope Name and Reference Number are two optional fields which can be used to keep a track of the document.

Step 3: Select who will sign the envelope. You can choose to sign the document yourself, sign along with others, or send the envelope only to other participants for signing.

Step 4: Participants can be added to the envelope by searching and selecting existing users or by adding a new external participant using their details.

Step 5: The initiator selects a participant to configure their workflow settings. For in person signing scenarios, the workflow type can be set to In-Person.

Step 6: After participants are added and configured, the initiator places signature placeholders and other required fields on the document for each participant before sending it for signing.

Step 7: Configure optional settings such as watermark application, reminder preferences, workflow language, and email message. Supporting documents can also be attached to the envelope for reference; these attachments are not signed.

Step 8: Once the document is initiated, it opens for the first signing participant with their assigned signature placeholder active for signing.

After the first signatory completes the signing, the document is automatically made available to the next signatory for signing on the same device.

Once signing is completed, a completion email is automatically sent to all participants.
