# emSigner Utility Port Settings
**Step 1**: Double click the emsigner utility that is available in your system. This utility will run in the background and you can see the same in taskbar
**Step 2**: Upon clicking the utility that is available on the taskbar, you will be able to see the emSigner utility dialog box
**Step 3**: Click on theβ**Settings**β tab on the utility.
**Step 4**: You will be displayed with the current port number in which the utility is running. Below that, you will have an option to change the port number to which the utility should run
**Step 5**: Once the port number is entered, click on the β***Apply***β button.
