# Converting your plan

#### Plan Conversion in emSigner

emSigner offers two distinct subscription models: **user-based plans** and **envelope-based plans**, each designed for different usage patterns and operational needs. These plans are provisioned independently and are not interchangeable by default.

Automatic conversion between user-based and envelope-based plans is **not supported**. Any request to convert, upgrade, or change the plan type must be initiated through **emSigner support channels** and is subject to commercial review and confirmation.
