# Electronic Seals

Electronic seals are applied by organizations rather than individuals and are used to ensure document origin, integrity, and authenticity. eSeals are commonly used for invoices, certificates, statements, and system-generated documents where a legal entity, not a natural person, is the signatory. Once applied, any alteration to the document invalidates the seal.
