### How do I know if a document requires my signature?

When a document requires your signature, emSigner notifies you through configured communication channels such as email.

As an internal user, all documents awaiting your action are listed in the **My Signature** section on the Dashboard. This provides a consolidated and real-time view of envelopes that require your signature.

On the mobile application, pending signing requests are also highlighted on the Home screen and supported through push notifications, enabling quick access and timely action.

> **Note:** SMS and WhatsApp notifications are sent only where these services are enabled and configured for the account.

### How am I authenticated when I access a signing link?

When you access a signing link as an emSigner internal user, you are first redirected to the emSigner login page.

You must authenticate using your registered emSigner credentials. Once login is successful, you are automatically redirected to the document preview screen, where you can review the document and proceed with the required signing or approval actions.

### What happens when I open a document for signing?

When you open a document for signing, the application first displays a full preview of the document. From the document preview screen, you can perform multiple actions such as:

* Viewing or adding attachments
* Checking document logs
* Viewing the signing order
* Adding comments
* Downloading or sharing the document
* Declining or delegating the document

You can scroll through the document page by page to review its contents in detail. Once you are ready to sign, you can use the **Next** navigator to move directly to the relevant signing or input placeholders.
