# Commenting on the document

During the signing process, internal users can add comments to the document for clarification, discussion, or record-keeping purposes.

#### How to Add a Comment

* From the top action bar, click **Others → Comments**.
* Enter your comment (up to the allowed character limit).
* Optionally enable **Notify All** to inform other participants in the workflow.
* Click **Post** to save the comment.

#### Comment Behavior

* Comments are visible to relevant participants based on workflow permissions.
* Each comment is time-stamped and tagged with the commenter’s name.
* Users can **edit** or **delete** their own comments if required.

#### Use Cases

* Requesting clarification before signing
* Adding contextual notes for other signatories
* Recording internal observations during review

Comments do not alter the document content and can be added at any stage before completing the signing process.
