5VAPT Security Enhancements:

  • As per VAPT assessment the identified vulnerabilities in a system are fixed.

5.1Password Hashing:

  • “Hashing” passwords is the common approach to storing passwords securely. ... Hashing a password is good because it is quick and it is easy to store. Instead of storing the user's password as plain text, which is open for anyone to read, it is stored as a hash which is impossible for a human to read.
  • Password should be min 8 length, atleast 1uppercase,lowercase, number and special character

5.2Document encryption:

  • Document encryption is the process by which documents are protected with cryptographic keys (a password, public key, token, etc.) so that only individuals with the corresponding decryption keys (the same password, private key, token, etc.) can open them.  It is used to protect documents in transit (i.e. sent via email) and at rest (i.e. stored on a disk or in the cloud) from being accessed by unauthorized users.
